Dragons vs Jets - Preview
Netball Superleague – Round 7 – Saturday 7 March
After their impressive victory on Monday, Yorkshire Jets are on the road this weekend with two games in three days. They travel to Cardiff on Saturday to take on the Netball Superleague’s bottom side, Celtic Dragons.
The Welsh team have lost all their six games so far in the competition so will be keen to get their first win on the board. However, after beating third placed side Mavericks in Huddersfield earlier this week, Anna Carter’s side will be full of confidence.
The game also sees Jets goal shooter Timmy Cato, who continues to be the league’s most successful shooter this season, face her former team for the first time since her move from Wales to Yorkshire.
The Jets game on Saturday begins at 4pm and is quickly followed by their next clash, also on the road, on Monday evening against Loughborough Lightning.
Jets beat Mavericks 56 vs 42 to move to Joint third place.
Yorkshire Jets secured an impressive win against Hertfordshire Mavericks in Huddersfield this evening beating the Netball Superleague’s third placed side by 14 points.
A good start from Jets, who went into the game in fourth place, saw Timmy Cato open the scoring but it was end-to-end in the first quarter with Mavericks leading for most of the 15-minutes.
However, strong work under the post from Cato and Haythornthwaite meant they eventually edged it and took a one goal lead into the break, the score 14-13. Click Here for the full Match Report
